Dr. Jerry Ford was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in western Kentucky. He graduated Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University with a chemistry degree. He then attended the University Of Louisville School Of Medicine and graduated Magna Cum Laude. After completing his training, he practiced cornea and external disease as an assistant professor at Wake Forest University Eye Center before joining Eye Associates of Tallahassee in 2000. He is currently a Clinical Professor for Florida State University School of Medicine, Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine program.
Dr. Ford is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and continues the process of maintaining recertification. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Cornea Society, the FMA, and the Florida Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Ford has had the pleasure of being listed in the Best of Tallahassee edition of Tallahassee Magazine, has served as president, and has been on several boards for the Capital Medical Society.
Dr. Ford enjoys being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
