We are pleased to announce the arrival of our new Oculoplastic Surgeon, Dr. Sterling Cannon, who joins us from Georgia with over 17 years of Oculoplastic experience. Dr. Cannon is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Orbitofacial Plastic Surgeon. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and member of the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons.
Dr. Sterling Cannon is trained to treat diseases of the eye and perform ophthalmic and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Cannon earned his medical degree from University of Miami School of Medicine and trained in ophthalmology at Dean A. McGee Eye Institute. Dr. Cannon completed a research and clinical fellowship at Dean A. McGee Eye Institute within the fields of Oculoplastics and Ocular Oncology.
Dr. Cannon's vast experience in reconstructive techniques brings an added dimension of advanced eye care to the practice and the Tallahassee community. His treatment for eyelids, tear duct & orbit such as Ptosis, Blepharoplasty, Orbital Tumors, and Lacrimal Tear Duct Draining Disorders are just a few of the common conditions that many patients suffer with but may be improved with his surgical knowledge and expertise. He also can assist those seeking a more youthful appearance through Cosmetic treatments including Botox, Juvederm, Radiesse, and Chemical Peels.
Dr. Cannon and his wife are actively involved as volunteers for Young Life. They have two boys and a girl who fill most of their time. In his limited free hours, Dr. Cannon enjoys playing percussion and various outdoor activities, to include surfing, windsurfing, and swimming. He and his family enjoy spending time outdoors with their two dogs, Porter and Lilly.
